Director of Programs & Partnerships
David Comerford is a development specialist with thirty (30) years of experience. Much of his work has focused on management and evaluation of technical and vocational education projects and programs andon civil society capacity building. He has served in senior management at the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE), CUSO, the United Nations Association in Canada (UNAC), and Oxfam-Quebec where he has overseen the development and implementation of several international projects in Central Asia, Pakistan, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Brazil, and Haiti. In addition to his work with NGOs, David spent seven years as a consultant securing and implementing contracts on educational, institutional capacity building and youth entrepreneurship projects funded by several clients including Global Affairs Canada, and the World Bank. In this capacity Comerford participated in and led numerous evaluations. Comerford holds a graduate diploma in international development, and is fluent in English and French, with limited working proficiency in Arabic.
